Today has been good. I slept. And then I got the rather excellent hockey
news. Food soon, relaxation later.

Re #730: Jocelyn Lemieux was good, but I haven't seen him around for a
while. If you're thinking of the evil Lemieux, well, I won't even
justify that with a response.

The new Eddings? Please, do tell....

Today was good. I had fun.

I had lots of fun at singing rehearsal and dance practice. I even got a boy's
address and phone number (he doesn't have email...<gasp!>)

IHB I had a lot of fun last night with the Anne, and I came home to find one
of my favorite olive oils...

IHB I found that while my apartment is, as my mother put it to my brother
"remember what her room was like growing up?", it has some sense of order and
I can finish putting things like books away because the bookshelves are
FINISHED. They are WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO STAY. Honest. So today, I am
going home, falling comatose, and sleeping in for the first time in my new
home. Ahhhh....

IAHB it is beautiful outside with all the snow, even if people are idiots when
they drive.

The new Eddings.

Take both of the last Fantasey series he wrote, shake up hard, add a slightly
different plot, and stick it all into one book. It's not bad, but I feel as
if I've met some of the characters before.

On the other hand, I am laughing my ass off. :)

Oh, I still like the book. Quite a lot, even. But there ae a couple of
characters that are just alittle too much like some of his other characters.

(<grins at Meg> Most of his characters are a lot like his other
characters- however, I like those characters, so it works. ;) )

IHB I am actually having a good day at work.

IAHB I have cookie cutters! So I am going to make sugar cookies this week.
And have plenty left over to bring to both works and for a get-together I am
hopefully successfully planning for the 17th! yay!

IHB I have found some records (yes, lp's) that were out of print at a used
store here in Ann Arbor (PJ's...how how I love that place) so I can listen
to the christmas music that I used to when putting up the tree up to when my
parents got divorced. So 10 years later, I can finally listen to a real
christmas while putting up the tree....<deep sigh of contentment>

I have a demo mix of the CD I played bass on! It's still a bit rough, but
much much better than the cassette copy I had.

Indeed, Eddings writes a bit too predictably. It's good, clean fun, but I
never dive in expecting to reach new levels of enlightenment.

I got lots of sleep, and I'm about to go take command of my shift. Hopefully
this one will be better...

I think I share the convictions of those in the anti-Eddings camp. I
was quite a fan of his in high school, but I think I've changed since high
school, and he *hasn't*... <shrug>

But I'm happy because it's the *weekend*. Long, long week...

And the name "Chocolate coated, freaky, and habit forming" make me happy
too. :)

I like Eddings. His books have been, through the years, a fun read for me.
I'm never under the impression that it's anymore than good light reading
fantasy. A lot of books are like that, really.

I got a video of Wallace and Gromit from my friend for a Christmas
present. <giggle> I now have the three episodes, plus Chicken Run.
<bouncebounce> And my roommate got my Power Puff Girl ornaments. PPG's
