When I showed Carol the list of words we've used in the past, she suggested
making a rule that anyone who's "it" be required to use his or her word in
a sentence at least 5 times in the next week. :)

Hi Jin, welcome to the 6-letter word game! The rules are that every guess
must be a real English word, and I don't believe "shaked" is, so i can't
count your guess. Please stick around and try again, though.

Wouldn't "to shake" mean to apply shakes to a roof? Hence, the roof was
shaked.

None of the definitions of the verb "shgake" in Merriam Webster Online make
any reference to shingles, but of course another dictionary might differ.

Here are a collection of examples of the use of shaked from the Oxford
English Dictionary Online. None refer to roof shakes, but are rather just
the past tense of shake. You will find some illustrious authors in the
list. There are many more, but these will convey the usage. The use does
not seem to have survived the 18th century.
1620 Hist. Frier Rush (1810) 32 With his forke he shaked the straw abroad.
1575 Gascoigne Kenelworth ii. v. Wks. 1910 II. 127 Her Majestie came by a
close Arbor,..and whiles Silvanus pointed to the same, the principall bush
shaked.
1712 Steele Spect. No. 382 1 The Prince.. shaked a Cane at the Officer.
1551 Robinson tr. More's Utopia i. (1895) 71 And as he was thus saying, he
shaked his heade, and made a wrie mouth.
C. 1489 Caxton Sonnes of Aymon xxiv. 497 He [Bayard] shaked hymselfe for
to make falle the water from hym.
1625 Donne Serm. 3 Apr. 6 The righteous is bolde as a Lyon, not easily
shaked.
1610 Donne Pseudo-martyr 217 Vpon a mistaking, that the euennesse of his
Maiesties disposition might be shaked by this insinuation.
1736 Ainsworth Eng.-Lat. Dict. s.v., She shaked her sides with laughter.
