I'm damn sick and tired of people here at my work not following procedure and
just doing whatever they want and then yell at us like it's our fault. You
want specifics? a group of surgeons have 4 days to operate during the week.
My doctor has one. we borrowed time from a surgeon who was going to be out
of town in november, note this is a different day than the one I bitched about
on friday/monday. this other group put a case in and told us to shove it and
put our case to start at 6pm. We talked to them, they moved it, and what
happened? They put it in the OPEN space in their OWN OR ROOM! <growls and
gets pissy>
Plus, I'm happymy brother is coming tomorrow to visit, spend the night, and
have fun. However, I am not happy that my mother continues to tell him that
my apartment is a walking disaster area, so today is a day full of cleaning,
sorting, and getting as much done as possible so that I don't have to hear
"God, this looks awful!" anymore.

senna, why can't you just take the bus to toronto? might be safer with
all that snow on the road anyway

re 650 Just put a happy little smile on your face, and say to Mom, "Look,
the place could be spotless and you would still find something to bitch
about." I did that with my grandmother and since that moment, things went
uphill for our relationship.

Well, seeing as my mother is legally blind in both eyes, it shouldn't matter
to me that much, but it still bothers me. But yes, making some room will be
good for me. I can do things in my bedroom and empty boxes and then take a
NICE HOT BATH.

seems) my parents. i wish i was out there in Mich. instead of here, >10miles
from one of the world's biggest metopolises... NYC. Geez. Condolences and hugs
to all who need them.

1. There is no snow 2. I need to have a vehicle to go to the places
I am going 4. There are no busses running at the times I need them
5. I don't have a vagina, so why are you bothering me? 6. It's too
late anyway, I'm already here.
It's a possibility, Sarah, but the problem is also congruous with a
problem I had on my old Camry (which, coincidently, reached breaking
point during a trip to Toronto) involving one of the more adventerous,
non-relaxing drives I have ever had.

(I think it's a sign for you to stop traveling to Toronto so much. And
just settle down in a nice city, like Lansing ;)
So, my doctor tells me to enjoy my break, and moniter my headaches and
since my "stress" level will be "down" I shouldn't have many. You would
think, that would work. Nope. No sooner do I get in the car with my
mother for the three hour drive back to Columbus do I get a blistering
headache that lasted the whole ride, plus another two hours at home.
Ah. I love vacation.

Well, if you are a geek, congratulations. It gets to be lots of fun, and it's
never a bad thing to have your skils be in great demand. I assume, from what
you said, that you're probably at least somewhat young now, but wait a few
years until the non-geeks start needing, and worshiping, you.

Today sucked so much I can't even begin to describe it, next week is going
to suck pretty badly too, and this weekend now has suck potential.
I love my job. Really.

THe GazeboMobile attempted suicide yesterday. TUrns out it's a
Cracked distributor cap, bad ignition wires, a tune up, and possibly
a fuel pump. Like affording the repairs is easy at this particular
moment in my life?
(Oh, well. still cheaper than replacing it. Which I DEFINITELY
Cannot afford.)

Actually, the cap, wires and a bunch of the tuneup you could do yourself, and
save quite a bit. (Total cost for my cap, rotor, wires & plugs: $40) And
they are pretty easy to do yourself. (unless you have one of those stupid
cars that have the engine turned upside down or whatever)

It is finished which is what counts. I'd have caught that stuff, but
the fuel pump would have thrown me. (As would having somewhere other than an
exposed driveway to do the work on it.)
THe GazeboMobile is DEFINITELY a *stupid car!*

Our Ameritech phone has gone from working intermittently to not working.
Two weeks now since the problems started.
And the cell phone modem works only intermittently.
Not gonna be on Grex much for a while, looks like.
