I had a long overdue periodontist appointment yesterday and there was
no bad news. So I guess I finally have this flossing thing figured
out.

Today was great. Great family time, food, and football. Work was slow and
vacation-like.. no complaints whatsoever from me. For once. I even conned
usually less social people into... well, Meijer for a midnight snack, but
that' just because it was open.

(Bud's healthy. I took her for a *long* walk last night and could barely
keep up. She hasn't quite regained control of her bladder, but her coat
looks like it did when she was but a pup. She's heavy, too.) :)

The house is clean, and I get to spend another day with my family. =)

I also don't work until five p.m. tomorrow. Joyous sleep...

No rain here, but the entire south appears soaked. I didn't sleep in
excessively, but I'm slothing myself around. It's great.

(if "amused" counts under "happy", IAVAB I have just had Quaker
shredded wheat for dinner a whole two days after Thanksgiving.)

Oohh...pretty...  =)

IHB I'm going to have overtime at work, and my boss loves me.
IAHB this job is helping me lose weight at an amazing rate (I spent roughly
an hour lifting heavy boxes and such this morning).

Today started stupid, as usual. Things got simple at 6, when I was allowed
to shut people down. I shut down about 12 of our lanes with zero ill effect.

IVVVVVHB Adam (my brother) and Katie (his fiancee) have set a wedding date!
It's very cool because it's January 11, 2003. Why is this cool? My birthday
is January 9th, Katie's is January 10th, and Anne's (my roommate) is January
11th. Heh... They thought a winter wedding would be beautiful, and I agree.
Plus, Katie turns 21 on that birthday, so she can have champagne at the
wedding. ;-)

And yes...it will work out and last forever. They've been together four years
already and already show as much love and commitment as my parents. I'm so
excited!!! =) I love her very much and have always felt like she's part of
the family. A lot of people say, "Oh...they're too young to get married",
which annoys me to pieces, but I'm still bouncy. Whee!

Also, Adam (who is 21) is doing well at his quest to save enough money for
a down payment on their house two years from now. I'm so proud that my baby
brother is so mature now. It's scary, but fun. There are days I see him as
an eight year old, and then I think, "He's getting married." <sniff>

We had a pretty good weekend to Chicago. Good opera, and I found a pair
of shoes for which I'd been searching for months. And right now I have
a black cat expressing how happy she is to see me back.

I'm happy because we had a pretty good time in Tucson for the holidays, which
included a thanksgiving day trip to "The Desert Museum" near Tucson, and a
friday shopping trip to Nogales, Mexico.

Happy due to a great weekend, and then last night getting snuggles from
Sasha (who can be quite demanding when she so chooses) and then
Morticia (who is just as demanding in her own way).

Plus! As a result of getting a decent amount of sleep I was early to
work this morning (by about ten minutes) so I was able to get caught up
on what I missed by my absence last Wednesday (much needed vacation
day) before the Leprechaun showed. He's doing his best to make my life
hellish, but I'm not letting him. :)

IHB being all moved in and the rude awakening I got this morning, I got to
work WAAAAAY before I usually do, like by an hour to an hour and a half, so
I get to go home a LITTLE early today! Meeting at one and then I am GONE

I am happy because Crate and Barrel's outlet store in Alexandria helped me
in my quest for Christmas gifts. I bought some lovely Italian dishware for
my stepmother and a few trivets for my dad . . .and some groovy shiny boxes
for Gary.

Jiffer, where does one get a mooby hat? I think I really need to find one.

I happened into a test this morning in my first class. Apparently, that day
I missed outlined it for me. I actually (shockingly) chose the essay test
option, and I think I did fairly well. I'm briefly in a good mood.

I don't know, all I have is the beanie Mooby (like those satanic Beanie
Babies). I found it at one of them stores where they sell
collector/gaming/comic stores. Though if you go to www.viewaskew.com you
maybe able to order from them directly.

I found my bed, and for the first time, my babies (ie my cats) slept with me
in bed, together and cuddled with me. It felt great. Apartment is coming
along. Just where do I put the F-ing computer desk! AARGH!
