Wow...my voice range seems to *suck* in cold weather. Luckily it warmed up
after a couple of songs...but ouch.

Changing rooms means I have to clean up everything, and put it in
temporary boxes.

Bleah, spent too much money this weekend- but part of it was cold meds
that I really needed and a Christmas present for someone that was just
too perfect to pass on, and... well it was That Guy's birthday. <sighs>
Another poor week up ahead.. Good thing I get paid Friday.

I'm bummed because my left arm and hand hurt badly. I got
turned back on to playing the piano at the Remmers' on Saturday,
and overdid playing back at home... Sigh.

I AM COLD!!!!!!! My STUPID Furnace won't light right. And so I called the
office here, and it took an hour for someone to show up. Then he got the
pilot light lit and I asked what he did, and he pointed at it, and it STOPPED.
ARRRGH. He gave me some space heaters to use, but I'm not that comfy with
then around the cats. So...I have lots of blankets, I have hot water to take
a super hot bath, and then they'll fix it in the morning.  <growls>  {shivers}

Work tonight was just stupid, but it was the corporate idiots' fault and not
The Boss I Love's fault. Corporate people need to realize that people are
more important than dollars, and that if their people get killed because they
won't get their heads out of their collective asses, there won't BE any
dollars.

Hmmph.

Hmmm Nine and a half inches of snow and I still have to go into work. B&H
NEVER closes.

Campus is utter hell. The only thing open in like a 6 county area. I dunno
about UofM.. But things have halted to a crawl. I've dug people out. my car
is buried in a lot near my dorm. It's drifted to 3+ feet in some places and
the snowplows have fucked sidewalks so myself and other pedestrians were
forced to walk on the sides of remotely plowed streets.. making for more
hazards, etc.. :P I'm staying in today. And hopefully I'll be able to finish
my exams and make it home, sometime this week..LOL

Well, duh, I work at B&H and I am still here... I assume that it has to be
30 feet before they close thise place.

We didn't get enough snow to do anything - we've got maybe 1 inch right
now.

Also bummed because I bought some speaker wire at Radio Shack last
night, and I think it fell out of my pocket, because I'm not finding it
now.

to confirm.)

They STILL haven't fixed the F*-ing heat. I nearly froze this morning waiting
for them. I called them every 20 minutes and I kept being put off. First
they were all on "snow removal" then they were waiting for the page to be
answered, and then they would be there "shortly". THEN after another half
hour, they weren't there and they said that the "work orders" were handed out
and that they weren't sure who had it but they'd be out sometime today.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! So I got out of my snow car grave and came
to work. Where my boss was very glad to see me and was relieved. Damn rassin
frassin apartment people.

Much as I love snow, that long driveway is a *lot* of work.

response 622 of 691: Mark Unseen   Dec 12 21:33 UTC 2000

Grrs... stupid boss didn't believe me when I said the roads weren't
cleared where I lived... Told me they were when not half an hour
earlier a friend's mom came over to deliver a shovel so we could dig
our cars out.

Then the moron kept calling all day with stupid questions.

Yanno, I'd like a boss that was slightly concerned about my healt and
safety. I've been sick for the last week and he thinks there's nothing
wrong with me being outside in the damn cold for an hour to dig my car
out...
