After showing up late to my Thursday morning class last week because I thought
it didn't meet until 9:30, I made absolutely sure that I'd be in class today
by 9:00 -- only to find out that my Monday class _doesn't_ meet until 9:30.
On the upside, it means I'm out of bed early enough that I can come and wade
through agora again.

I woke up feeling sick today but went to work anyway. Then I walked my dogs
and fell asleep at 9p which is why I am all about wide awake now at 5am. haha.
You know, now that I think about it, that was *yesterday* I havent done much
today yet. I think I will have some toast. I have to move in a week which is
partly exciting and partly something that fills me with dread. I hate moving.

My day was filled with highs and lows, and the lows were mostly having too
many different things to do and not being able to concentrate on any of them.
But the highs: Installed another 64MB in a Vaio notebook computer (two 32MB
modules) and tore down a PowerBook 3400c to no good effect. Turned out it
was the power adapter, despite previous tests with different power adapters
showing no different behaviour. I don't get it. We ended up swapping some
of the pieces of my former 3400 into a different 3400 (took both of them
to everything working). At least I now have a Macintosh with all of my data.
Which means I can get caught up on Kevin and Kell, Dilbert and User Friendly.

I dunno. Things to think about, and I'm rather sad and conflicted about
things.

that's life,

riding high in april,
shot down in may.
and so on.

Billy Vaughn did it first in mono, right?

i seriously doubt it, but i can't be sure. vaughn was a big band leader and
made many instrumental covers of hits. are you thinking of billie holliday's
"that's life i guess?"

No...i was thinking of the early 60's version which was mono..I think
Sinatra re-did it in mid to late 60's in stereo.

well, i did a little research. sinatra recorded that's life in '66 and vaughn
in '67. so if you have an earlier recording that would be way coo el.

The other great thing is that my brother and his wife will be moving to
Kentucky in July. they will only be ~8 hrs away vs. 22 hours. Now if only
my other brother got that job in Cin-city... then it would rule.

Having a pretty good day so far, but the person that I was hoping to
talk to after class isn't going to be there today :(
