I'd think that was up to Bees, if anyone.

If you read my original comment, brighn, you will not that I am not accusing
anyone of stealing anything. I only said that I personally am more likely
to believe Russ's side of the story because of the way tsty treated us. This
is a simple statement of fact. And I can understand how Russ could be upset
about how he was treated after doing favors for tsty that were not only not
returned but abused.

And having know tsty for a long time, worked with him, and seen him give
generously of his time to certain causes, I am more likely to believe tsty
If we got his story.

Re #45: Don't you mean "Steal from people, lie to people, reap
their disdain"? Or do you really think that someone who steals
and lies shouldn't suffer any consequences, social or otherwise?

I didn't know that TS was lying until I saw response #13. Up to
that time I gave him the benefit of the doubt. No longer; he's
hoist on his own petard, probably because he couldn't remember
what explanation he'd made up this time. (That's a good argument
for telling the truth; it's so much easier to keep straight.)

"unlink" doesn't seem to be a recognized Picospan command.
Bees, I'll send you mail and we'll set up how we want to create
a second copy of your item.

response 62 of 86: Mark Unseen   Dec 2 17:18 UTC 2001

A fair-witness can "kill" an item, which unlinks it from his or her
conference and leaves it in all other conferences it is linked to, so
kill is probably what you mean by unlink.

I stole a guitar of happyboy's. He cant have it back either.

You know what I do with it? I play it. Now that is a crime because I
dont know how to play a guitar or even how to tune it. **evil grin**

Anyhow, one thing I can say about russ is that he gives me a good laugh
now and then. I love how he is going on about how his public accusation
of TS is doing everyone a favor so they can know to avoid lending him
anything when all he is really doing is being kind of a jerk. It's
almost as funny as his comment about how he offered to help edit Popular
Science and they for some strange reason didnt take him up on his offer.
HMMMM??? It would be like me offering to pose nude in Playboy and then
wondering why they wouldnt take me up on my offer. HAHAHAHAHA!

Has this happened?

response 65 of 86: Mark Unseen   Dec 2 22:15 UTC 2001

No. While I have no desire to pose for Playboy, it really is good that I
dont because I am sure they wouldnt want me. I am about as unlike a
Playboy Bunny as one can get ;)

Whoa. I've been catching up on M-Net's agora.cf
so I got a little confused and thought I should
doublecheck the IP address . .

Guitar is my worst instrument, I swear.
I tried different guitar teachers and they
all flunked. I put some attention span into
this one chart of guitar chord positions, a one
page sheet with about 100 chord diagrams on it.
I picked the easiest and most common ones and
practiced them and highlited them in yellow as
I went. About 15 of them.

A talented guitar player reviewed it and frowned,
shaking his head. "Shaky" he said. I said what.
        "Misleading".

If I ever try again, I want one of those electric guitars
with incredibly low action. I tried this one dude's
Gibson SG, I think it was, the same Pete Who uses.

Ever tried to tune a guitar that's not calibrated
correctly? It's impossible and so frustrating.
A guitar has to be correctly setup and maintained
        by a professional luthier.

I'll disagree with most of what you said. A guitar is one of the
cheapest instruments you can buy yet have a range of what you can
do with it. For $400 you can have a decent instrument. And it's
easy enough to teach yourself the basics, really. Ask the billons
of kids and adults that have done it and have had a great time.
I'm one of 'em. Not that lessons can't be helpful, but unlike
classical instruments, it sure ain't necessary.

It's also dead easy to tune. Unless you have a really warped guitar.
And I don't know of any instrument that can be easily tuned when
damaged.

You want hard? Get yourself an instrument without frets, play it
with a band of horsehair, and have the strings cost $50 each. ;-)

um...mary, your not SUPPOSED to play a fretless banjer
with a fiddle bow. good lord!

Now you tell me. That explains a lot.

response 73 of 86: Mark Unseen   Dec 10 02:53 UTC 2001

It has to be warped if you use a bow. Otherwise you can only play the
outside strings.
mary
response 74 of 86: Mark Unseen   Dec 10 11:55 UTC 2001

There is warped and there is curved.
