Ah Hah! Their names *have the same number of vowels*!

A conspiracy to deprive Grex of the diversity to which we're entitled! We
need an amendment to insure that some seats are reserved for people of Central
or Eastern European extraction, with higher proportions of consonants in their
names.

Shall we limit it to people with no vowels in their last name?

He has a spare T. We could call him Jan T. Wolter.

I prefer Sctt Helmke and Joan Wolter. Fixes the vowel/consonant imbalance,
and the gender imbalance.

a jan, by any other name, would still be male...

I could borrow the "c" and be "Janc Wolter". That leaves Scott...never mind.

I'd like to announce that I posted a summary of Grex's income for 1997 and
expected expenses for 1998 in item 79 of the coop conference, in
preparation for the "Plan the Budget" meeting this weekend.

There have been some upgrades to grex's internet providers connections
to the rest of the world. You may see a bit better connectivity to grex
because of this. Also, connectivity between grex and m-net may be better
as there is a new network link between the routers that connect grex's
provider and m-net's provider.

Gibson, I sorry =P I never know what to say so I try and not make a fool of
myself...

As for this m-net thing... i heard they are running low on funds... and i
heard grex is making like $70,000 every year is it?

And also the staff of m-net isn't nearly as kewl as the staff of grex...
valerie has really helped me out and I want to thank you valerie =) you are
a kewl person =)

(sonia smacks herself) um i can't think of anything else to say (ideas
anybody?)

Bye

Sonia: Grex's budget is about $7000 per year, not $70,000.

And revenue is not a great deal higher than expenses.. Grex certainly
doesn't make money for anyone; it wouldn't even exist without the generous
donation of the very valuable time of its unpaid staff. It just couldn't
be operated on a commercial basis and be much like it is now -- at going
rates for skilled computer administrators I suspect the staff time expended
per year is worth a lot more than what Grex eats up in electricity, phone,
  and rent.
