Yeah, I was having a hard time reconciling the picture with what I
know rcurl looks like nowadays.
One way to authenticate would be to send email to the cyberspace.org
address of the person who claims to have uploaded the picture, and
require confirmation before posting it.

Yeah, we were discussing that too. That might slow down the process of putting
up pictures. Time that I really don't have unfortunately. It would be easier
if people would just tell me "hey, i didn't send that picture, will you please
take it down?' or something like that, by word of mouth too. I dunno. Any
more suggestions?

The "hey, I didn't send that picture" solution won't work for people
who don't look at the grexer gallery.
#52 is overkill. But you knew that.
The email confirmation process can be entirely automated. Lots of
sites use something like it.

Re #54: that can be missed - I fixseen whole slews of responses if I've
been away for a while and the accumulation is enormous. Since the photos
come by e-mail, it seems simple enough to respond on the spot with
'thanks'. You'll hear if the message with the pic was spoofed.

Yeah, I think we may be able to do some automated response. But if that user
doesn't respond quickly enough then I can't post the picture quickly enough
and then I will lose track of who is ok to go and who is not. AGh! I haven't
seen any major issues yet. The rcurl picture is a first. I think automated
email is the next step too. Thanks for your input.

Sylvia: MIA would be nice to have around but I don't have the diskspace for
that. Just today I received 10 pics from one user! I think it's time to resize
some of these pictures ;)

10 pics!?! Perhaps you should limit the number of pics per user?
The MIA photos: I wouldn't say collect them, just migrate current
pictures of users when they leave the system.
