If you guy(s) are reading this item, and genuinely want to see
a Penthouse letters forum sort of column in this conference, you're going
about it the wrong way.
Just enter the item. People who don't like it will forget it. They're
quite used to people entering items that they don't care about, and, as your
fluency with BBS commands demonstrates, you should be well aware of how easy
PicoSpan makes it.
Attempting to cajole or embarass other people into playing along won't
work. It just isn't the kink of ninety-five percent of the participants in
this forum, though we do have all kinds - read back through the older
conferences for some of brighn's original fiction and I think you'll get an
idea of what I mean - and there's really no way to get people interested in
something if there's little or no interest to begin with.

i was shooting some pool last night, with some male buddies. i pull out a
cigarette and go to ask someone for a light when this guy lights his lighter
for me before i can even get a word out. 'Thank you', i say. 'you're welcome',
and he walks away.
So then he's go ball-in-hand and misses the shot, but goes to take the second.
knowing he is french, becuase he's been speaking with a french aquaintance,
i walk up behind him and speak in his ear, 'you only get one shot'.
he sits down beside me 'qu'est-ce que tu veux faire?' i say, 'je veux finir
ma biere et puis jouer avec toi a son foyer.'
he concurs.
he says, 'il ya beacoup des personnes a ma place' but his friend says we can
use his.
him and his friend put on their coats and say good night. cinq minutes.
wind up some conversations, and leave. as i pass him sitting on a stoop a
couple of doors down i say, 'qu'est-ce que tu n'as pas un foyer?' without
stopping, keep walking. he follows along on his skateboard in the street. he
makes a right turn and i follow. he lets me skate on his board to the end of
the street and i wait for him there.
i ask him to go across to the bodega for condoms, and he puts me in the foyer
of his friends apt to wait safely for him. couple of minutes later he knocks
on the door. i welcome hime to my home and he thanks me for inviting him over.

I was tempted to post some of my own experiences in that vein, and
then I realised that I've never said anything that fucking cool.

i would hope that my writing is at least a little more interesting than
beady's. although there _was_ that one time he was drunk and telling about
wanting whats-her-name's titties or something. i'm still deciding whether or
not i should be offended by #55 ;)
(actually we went by the euro-rules.)

dude
geek noir is like
"I saw this dame stroll into the main ops lab and i know she would be trouble.
her clothes screemed 173373 but i just knew she was that old kinda classy bird
that was just born to rend men's hearts.
she was dressed all in black, so i got up to ask her what was wrong.
she spun some drivel about how her server had been murdered, and could i
find the hacker that got him
i told her to go talk to the police, but she said it was an MS job.
whoa dollface" i said. "sorry sweat cheaks, but i don't care how fly you are
or how much cred you got, but i don't take cases involving two people:
redmond, or the mouse."
she cried.
long tears like the que's for episode II or titanic.
long like her legs.
eventually i took the job
what's a geek to do?
"
that's geek noir:)

That's nerd noir.
Geek noir is Poppy Z. Brite or John Shirley. Blade Runner, on a
budget.
