IHB I got sleep last night, talked with the brother and sister-in-law and only
two days away from my day off. Life is okay.

IHB we got to our polling place this morning at 7:10 and had to wait
for about 40 others who were there ahead of us!
IHB there were 5 children (ages 8 - 13) in line with their parents;
there to get acquainted with the process!

Work was bearable! This is amazing! I only have a backlog of 5 and my messup
isn't going to be so bad after all!

No more political ads!!!
IHB I was only in line at the polls for 20 minutes.
IHB I had a really nice time with my friend Jason last night. We watched
movies all night, went to breakfast, voted, and then crashed until I had to
go to work.

And then.. they retracted it. I'm happy because I stayed up and got to
experience the whole thing... well, the whole thing so far.

I'm still up watching election stuff, having resorted to MSNBC and Imus in
the morning, while also waiting for and semi studying all night between
politicing break for an exam in approxiamately 1 and a half hours... Yech
For some reason I'm not drowsy, and for the first time in my life.. Politics
is actually interesting.

IHB- I had fun last night, and once I found my voting site it only took
20 minutes, and watching CNN off and on last night was exciting.

I went to bed earlier, not sure who was going to win. After I got up
I went through all channels on cable TV and, at that moment, not one
had anything on about the election. It had an unreal feeling....

IHB I got my evaluation today, and it was good. Only problem was that HR had
the wrong pay on there... they had me down as making a dollar less than I
actually do.

It may be a while before we know.. Oh.. The tension.. you could cut it with
a limber intern or something.. :)

There's an interesting question. How did Monica vote?
Leave it up to Florida to cause all this trouble. The penis shaped state
decides the fate of two dickheads.

Okay, so my roomie Spider is so cool that when my absentee ballot didn't turn
up, she drove with me to Ann Arbor so I could vote and back. (thumbs up)
And while I was in Ann Arbor, my mom became convinced that the evil sore stiff
neck I'd been having was meningitis. (thumbs down)
But it turns out that my mom is delusional -- it was so obvious that I
didn't have meningitis (no fever, no sore throat, etc) that I didn't even
have to get any blood drawn, much less a spinal tap. Plus the nice people
at student health were way sympathetic about me being in on my birthday.
(thumbs up)
And I'm feeling healthy enough that I can go dancing in Pittsburgh this
weekend as planned. (thumbs up)

While stuck in heinous traffic on I-94 a bit ago (jackknifed semis kept
traffic at a standstill for about an hour), I got to introduce someone to
Trenary Toast. It's a yummy treat from the U.P. She had a thermos of cocoa,
and I had the toast in my car from my recent trip, so we hung out on the hood
of our cars and chatted while having breakfast.
We got moving a half-hour later. =)

IHB I slept 12 hours, got up at late 7amish (sleeping in), went and have my
blood drained with no bruising, got a very quick MRI (which I was told looked
pretty good!), got my knee X-rays. I had a fun lunch with Jess and Anne, went
to Canada and got lots of fun things for the family and friends.
I love the little days off.
