Yay Grimmy!
Bees - long engagement, but it makes sense when you get their reasoning. ;-)

Re #317: the correct response to #304 is, "There are people west of the Hudson
or north of Connecticut!?"
My mother's cell phone rings "Take me out to the ball game."

Dad's home. He's feeling okay, though he correctly predicted a precipitous
fade in the evening, which was a good signal to go to bed. He can even sit
up now, which is nice. We watched the fourth quarter-and-overtime of the
monday night game before he went to bed.

IHB my new bodice is coming along nicely, and I'm going to have a kickass
pirate wench costume for Halloween.
Oh, and I've officially lost a bit more weight. (about five pounds or so)

I am happy because I am back to full time at work, and I baked 2 apple pies
yesterday that came out great, and I tried baking cakes in canning jars and
it worked, but I need to make some minor alterations.

IHB I got a lot of sewing done at work today. =) (This is what happens when
there is nothing else to do...)
IAHB I'm almost done with the jerkin for a man's renaissance outfit. It's
for Halloween, and at this rate I'm going to have to overnight ship it. Ack.

<wonders if one of her wonderfully creative friends would want to make
her a bodice, if they had nothing better to do, or felt like being
really nice to her, and stuff like that...>

Awww....Wendy, it's so CUTE when you beg!
I got nothing done...tried fixing my computer, bad. New hard drive with saved
data so I didn't have to waste cd's, good. Watched the Movie the Skulls,
eh... cuddled with Precious Kitty Girl, good.
I am happy today is Thursday, tomorrow is Friday, going to a Halloween party
<although not the goth party, since I'm not gothy...sorry!>, making food, and
doing some crosstiching. Hee hee.

(If you're talking about the goth party I think you're talking about-
it would be great if you could attend, and don't worry about the goth
bit- few will be dressing gothy. Course... if you just don't like us
anymore and don't want to hang out... we might understand, someday.)

IHB I got a wonderful night of sleep. I don't know if I got to bed
early or something, but I woke up this morning feeling awake and alert,
rather than sluggish and half asleep.

IHB I finally got my packages to my family mailed out, I actually do have
money left over from the main job(thank you oh great fate for the 12 hours
of overtime), and I am just exhausted and not annoyingly grumpy. Oh, and I
think I am not going to sleep at all tonight so that I may get some outfits
done... though I think I might actually save grommet torture till friday night
but I kind of want to get it done... Oh, and tonight I get the fun job of
dipping metal boning into liquid rubberized plastic... I am so tempted to buy
some of the black next time and just rubberize some clothing and see how it
comes out.

I'd been kind of halfheartedly looking around for my inhaler (allergy-related
athsma, seasonal, mild, but annoying) for a week or so now. Last night, when
I woke up at 4 a.m. and had trouble getting back to sleep because of
uncooperative lungs, I decided to escalate the search. So I spent a half hour
this morning looking in some of the places I had meant to look at some point.
I didn't find it (I'm thinking now that the move swallowed it), but
the effort did jostle my brain enough that I remembered (duh!) that I
have a prescription for the damn thing! Which I found easily, and
which had lots of refills on it. So, now I can breathe again. :)

Mary - you don't have to dress gothy or in costume. Some people are coming
as "college students".
Greg - I also have extra inhalers if you ever need some. And YES - it is
perfectly okey dokey for you to call me at 4 a.m. if you are wheezing.
Jiff - we're doing grommet torture together Friday night, but I may not get
home 'til eight. I'll call you.

I'm somewhat happy that I got some lovely flowers at the office (lilies of
the nile, daylilies, irises...) and a plant from my department (i feel less
unloved now...) -- almost enough to make the horrid week from hades feel less
so!
