IBB the customer behind me at the checkout kept loading her cart contents onto
the check lane and pushing my order on the non-moving belt, while the cashier
made a price check. I had to contain my irritation while listening to my
wife's Doritos get reduced to a crunchy powder.

I finally am feeling better from my back injury a little over a week ago, and
now I have a nasty cold, coughing stuff up from the middle of my chest, and
after taking roommate out for Pizza House for dinner and having a pretty good
night all around, I got sick when we got home, had a fever and sweats all
night, and now I'm back at work, hacking things up and feeling miserable.
One of these days I'll be healthy and start to pack I swear.

Wow...sounds like bronchitis. Yuck.
Okay...so my promotion is cool, but now I'm dead-dog tired from the weird
hours and craziness. I'll get used to this soon, hopefully.

Somehow my feet have kept growing, so that now I'm hair beyond size 13. This
makes it hard to buy boots; I visited about 4 stores yesterday and 5 today,
finally spending more than I wanted to just to find winter boots with enough
heel cushion for all the walking I do. And all those nice size 13s I tried
where my toe was just barely hitting the tip of the shoe... >:(

I need to replace the padding in my goalie mask, but the company that
made the mask is no longer in business, and most places will not sell
padding for someone else's mask. (on the other hand, the reason I need
the new padding is because I've finally got a good design to have
painted on it)

I am so freakin' poor right now. Maybe this is good, teach me to be
frugal and humble and all, but sheesh. It's time for my 6-month dentist
visit and I don't want to spend the $100 or whatever it costs to get a
cleaning. And I hate the idea of adding to my credit cards. Sigh.

She's a student. She probably doesn't have dental insurance. For that
mattert, a lot of jobs don't offer it.
Well, I got email today to say that a great uncle of mine is in the hospital
with a possible broken pelvic bone, deffinate broken vertebrae, and a large
blood clot. Oh, and he won't eat. If that wasn't depressing enough, when
I talked to my mother a few mintues ago, it turns out that I only got half
of the message, and not the half that said that his granddaughter, who I spent
a bit of time with at the funeral, has breast cancer, and is having a couple
of malignant lumps removed today or tomorrow.
In the words of my mother, "The family is falling apart!"
It occures to me that now might be a good time to get a mammogram.

I agree with that, Meg. Go in.
Just when I reach the top of the financial hill, something sends me right back
down again. And I was so *close* to being stress-free after three years of
hell. But. I'm strong. I'm very strong. I just hate when it affects other
people's lives (ya know...splitting bills with the roomie).
*sigh grumble feh*

I've never had dental insurance. I have spent my life cavity-free. All
I do is get cleanings. I have health insurance tho.
