IHB because my QC program was right tonight, even though the lead
programmer thought source was right. The data and the specs support
my side of it.

IHB I was able to mount a drive that I pulled from my
primary PC, which recently failed. I cobbled together a
replacement PC from parts that I had laying around and now I
am copying files from the old disk. Almost all of the data
exists elsewhere but this is going to save me the work it
would take to rebuild things.

That's great, Andy, congrats. I've had disks that failed to read and
then one day they would respond and it was a big rush to back them up
before they stopped reading again. As you say, even if you can rebuild
from other sources, it's nice to get everything back at once.

IHB today is my first day on my new job and all the people I'm currently
dealing with are in the same time zone as I'm in. Account information
is being sent and now it's just when will Fedex deliver my laptop?

IHB I figured out how to do 0 wipes on external USB drives using a Mac
at 2.5x the speed as a DBAN takes.

I'm happy because thanks to my hearing aids, I can now hear sounds that don't
even exist.

I use OneNote for my web based trainings so I can reference those notes
through out the year to refresh my skills...and then for annual renewal
it's right there. OneNote is very nice..wish Mac had a way to interface it.

IHB Grex is back up, too.

Thanks tod and walkman. Now I'm working through getting permissions
to all the applications I need to do my job. At least I'm back to
the Unix shell I like to use and an app that I used to be very good
at using. It's coming back a bit at a time. Hopefully having had
5 years experience with it will cut short the current re-learning
curve by a lot.

I haven't really gotten into OneNote much. I guess I should give it
a shot and see how well it works for note taking. Normally I just
use pen and paper, but that makes it difficult to find notes later
for review through out the year. I know at least one other person
that swears by OneNote.

Nothing beats the Windows+S combo in OneNote, imo. It's great for
doing snapshots and then putting narratives below them.

#48 I thought there was a One Note for mac? Do you mean you can't synch

Re #43:

I didn't think of it that way, to be honest. I can see that angle now.

Since i just read an item about a grex feature request, i will add one
of my own (unless it's already a feature?):

Can you/it would be nice if, you could share a conference between
different grex servers. So you post in a conference and that same
conference is shared with affiliate/subscribed grex servers, (it might
be the only conference/or topic on any particular server which is shared
this way)--- is it/can it, has it??? :P

The OneNote for Mac only works with M$ Cloud storage..you can't grab a
local *.one file or *.onepkg notebook and import it. Very annoying..I dont
need big brother nor a OneCloud hack to access my stuff..nor do I want
to rely on Internet sessions for Mac OneNote.
