Right. No long distance charges are involved.

I made a small mistake - I recorded the interest from our CD that came due
in May as misc. So transfer $9.91 from the miscellaneous donations total to
interest.
To me, the most striking things about this summary are
1. The drop in membership from the beginning of the year to the end, and
2. What's missing from the credits is anything from the Grex auction. We
could make up a good bit of our deficit if we had a strong auction.
I'd like to get the auction going soon, but I think we need more donations.

I'd have thought the right time to do the auction was before Christmas,
but maybe not. Maybe right after Christmas is the right time. Surely
some people here got gifts they won't want to keep and don't want to
return. If these gifts are donated for the auction, they'll be in
excellent shape.

That's a thought. I wanted to do it before Christmas, but didn't get it
together in time.

Mark, it's time we had a serious talk. I'm sorry I've let it get to
this point.
This grad school thing is interfering in your duties as Grex
treasurer. I think it's time to get your priorities in line and quit
messing around with your educational hobby.
Grex needs a better effort from you, in order to meet it's potential.
This just isn't the right time for you to be distracted with outside
interests.
I've contacted your academic advisor and taken the necessary steps to
cancel your classes for the upcoming semester. No, no need to thank
me. Now that you have more free time, we'll expect to see a number of
things happening that will move Grex to financial security.
We'll consider allowing you to return to some of your classes in
another year, provided your performance justifies it.
Thanks!

*grin*
Nah, to move Grex into financial security we need to graduate as many Grexers
as possible and move them into high paying jobs where we can blackmail them
with outrageous quotes from early Agoras.

No, no! Anything but that!
But, while they'd have to be early agoras to have quotes from me, I notice
some postings (in coop & some other places) from some more recent Grexers who
might be even more open to such blackmail. And I don't think they're exactly
quiet in agora, either.

Re #7: Heh - that's nice of you, John. I guess I'll just have to try
harder. :)
