with any bit of luck, I *might* be there...depending on how I'm feeling after
my 14 hour drive home...

Scott (Helmke), remind me again which fund was the destination of the $20 you
handed me for Grex?

Tonight I saw the GREX logo sign which will adorn the back of the projection
booth Sunday night. Cool!!

The magnet fund, Eric. Did the post-it get lost?

The flyers are done. Not real fancy, but they have our logo, web
address, dial up number, and a little bit of text about what we offer.
I thought about putting a paragraph about Grex and Cyberspace
Communications Inc. on the back, but I decided to use the K-I-S-S
principle and just leave the back blank.

Oops, forgot to mention, thanks Jessica (Balynce/llanarth) for helping
with the design. :)

I've never been to the TOP before. What time will the grexers congregate?

There's usually no set time. Look for a group of people that may or may
not look like they have anything in common. Tomorrow, we will be
handing out magnets and flyers. We may be wearing Grex Shirts. :)

George Bedard and the Kingpins, a very popular Rock-a-billy
group are on the schedule for a 7pm start. No second band listed.
I'm bringing over 150 'Galaxy Quest' buttons/badges. Look
for me where a combo badge/magnet to make up a GREX badge.

Increasing chance of rain as the night continues; so let's be
there a while before the movie.

Post-it?

Music commences at 7.

The flyers look great, and so does the slide, and the sign.

I was there. Saw various Grexers and large numbers of small dancing
people clutching magnets. The movie was great fun. This was a good
thing.

I think we gave out about 600 magnets, plus hundreds of the
little fliers that (?) made, plus perhaps 100 of the larger 8x11
leaflet that I made talking about conferencing.

I think it went very well, and am happy...

Is there a way for those of us who couldn't be at T"OP to get magnets?
scott
response 52 of 124: Mark Unseen   Jul 10 11:46 UTC 2000

There are plenty of magnets left over.

ea (formerly hhsrat) and llanarth/balynce designed the small flyer.

Big credit to ea for actually standing around handing out magnets to people.

I had a lot of fun meeting grexers I've known online for a couple
years.

Also, thanks to Staci Andre (dewshine) for running around to booths and
refilling their magnet supply.
