I think it's well worth some dead conferences to be able to offer everyone
and anyone the chance to try out their own conference with minimal hassle.
Steve will be on my list and I already have one item ready for Twinkie.
Something along the lines of "Let's list all of the things women would
rather do than have sex with twinkie." ;-)

Re #23 and #25: I agree with those sentiments. If Kevin were to
do something like regularly linking items from other conferences
into the twinkie conference without the poster's permission, then
it could be a problem because then people who hadn't joined the
conference could unexpectedly find themselves reading it. But
you don't plan to do that, do you Kevin?

I think we should rush these conferences into an production on
an emergency basis. Please.

re : 29 --I wasn't planning on the ol' link-and-kill, In fact, I don't know
that it's even technically possible with PicoSpan.
For the record, I am officially withdrawing my request for the Steve
conference (but not the Twinkie conference)

...and I'm continuing the request uninterrupted.
Do let us know as soon as it's ready.

I object to md's request to maintain my Steve Conference proposal.
I think he's essentially "riding" on my request, which is not fair to the user
base. More importantly, md has not given any indication of what the Steve
Conference would be about.
At the very least, I would expect the Steve Conference discussions to continue
for however many days it took md to decide he wanted to fw that conference.

34: Object all you like, feebles. The steve conference
is as described in response #7, which was posted on 6/23.
That's the conference I volunteered to fairwitness, on
6/26. Whether it evolves or not (becomes enlightened,
you might say) is for myself and above all the participants
to determine as time goes by, as with every other cf.
Btw, if Kevin decides he no longer wants to fairwitness
the twinkie conference for, you know, whatever reason, or
if he abandons it or something, I volunteer to fairwitness
that one, too.

Well, I think you're right to fear that Twinkie can't
handle Twinkie by himself (ahem), but I don't need any
help with steve (ahem).

For once, md is right.
My (ahem) "twinkie" is indeed far too large for me to handle by myself.

I think it's just your eyesight. Too much twinkie-handling
will do that.
ANYway, I want my conference! Is it ready?

Perhaps you should spend less time peeping in my windows. The basis of the
aspersions you're casting is..."questionable" at best.

So, is my conference ready yet?

I neither confirmed nor denied anything.
Perhaps it's *your* eyesight that's faulty.
In any case, my conference is ready :-P
