Grex can be thought of as a perpetual non-emergency broadcast system.

Re #266: I don't know about that: it seems always to be teetering on the
edge of an emergency.

Re #268 - teetering??? - i would say hanging off the edge with a little
finger... :-] na'h it's not really - be grateful it's not on a MS system.

...goodness gracious, people named shane... I once was in a play where a
character named shane couldn't stand his name, so people would always make
fun of him for it, being "hello SHANE! Howe are you today, SHANE? How's the
weather, SHANE?" and now I blink when ever I come accross that name...

Was always my experience that kids named Shane always got you in
trouble :)

My experience is that guys named Shane fight the evil cattle
barons and stick up for the rights of honest God-fearing
homesteaders.

I guess the UK just don't have the uber geeks like here in
Ann Arbor. Over ten years of Grex, and yet no copy in England or
India.

#282: Mike, check out http://www.spuddy.org/spuddy/. I used to have an
acount there when I lived in England, and the website looks current,
so the system may well still be on the go. It was cetainly the only
"grex-like" I ever found in the UK.
