Actually, without the discussion, I'd still have a scenery. It would just be
plain blue, and the little white letter thingies would go away.

Taking ric's comment poetically, i'd say he was referring to the 'scenery'
on Grex. If everyone were to shut up, the 'scenery' (i.e. text) wouldn't be
there.

Fortunately, responses such as 248 and 249 are part of the scenery, much teh
same way a mud puddle is part of a picturesque landscape.

Hi my name is S.R. I am very very new to Unix and Grex this is a test of the
emergency broadcast system...

response 266 of 287: Mark Unseen   Dec 7 15:40 UTC 2000

Grex can be thought of as a perpetual non-emergency broadcast system.

Re #266: I don't know about that: it seems always to be teetering on the
edge of an emergency.

Re #268 - teetering??? - i would say hanging off the edge with a little
finger... :-] na'h it's not really - be grateful it's not on a MS system.

...goodness gracious, people named shane... I once was in a play where a
character named shane couldn't stand his name, so people would always make
fun of him for it, being "hello SHANE! Howe are you today, SHANE? How's the
weather, SHANE?" and now I blink when ever I come accross that name...

My experience is that guys named Shane fight the evil cattle
barons and stick up for the rights of honest God-fearing
homesteaders.
