Basiclty, it's the P (for Party) option on the party submenu. I'm assuming
it will clear up, when you fix the same fault, from the party submeny for who.
OR pwho. THe "!who" option works well enough to get bye.

(I'm surpriseed I still Know some of the "!" commands seeing as I never
ever use them.)

How long before backtalk will be up, tonster? Is it something only janc
can fix?

response 29 of 45: Mark Unseen   Nov 24 16:37 UTC 2007

yes, I think I need janc. I can't make anything out of the errors I get
trying to compile it. Google has turned up nothing. I'll try and look
more into it Monday if I haven't heard back from Jan yet.

I'm having trouble logging into m-net because it doesn't have zsh
installed. :P

THe "who" option in the party sub-menu works now. THe "P" option to join
party IN the Party sub-menu does not. !party works just fine to join party.

Thanks Tony, but I still can't login. I think it has to do with the old
system having zsh located in /bin/zsh and the new has it in
/usr/local/bin/zsh. And my passwd entry probably lists /bin/zsh as my
login shell.

Hey, ask the Thaler's if they'll just oensource YAPP?
tsty
response 39 of 45: Mark Unseen   Jul 12 10:59 UTC 2008

as much as i appreciate the options in picospan, yapp has some
really nice additional features i would like to see on grex.

hope i'm not stomping on anyone's ego.

chances of seeing yapp running on grex?

The last I heard, the Thaler's didn't want to open up the YAPP source
code. I think the two best options are to get fronttalk to the point
where it can replace picospan, or get a new replacement written from
scratch.

I'm curious; what are the features you'd like to see from YAPP?

XML and cellphone/blackberry text compatibility. RSS feeds. Maybe even an
ability to respond in items via email ala yahoogroups.

Blackberry (if they wanted to survive in a more meaningful way than whatever
semblance of a company on life-support that they are right now) should have
made "Apps" for both iOS/Android to access the BBM stuff -- and converted
their business model to be more subscription-based than hardware
sales based.

Just sayin'

Haha. Blackberry. I'm shocked they're still around.
