Grange went famous overnight after the movie from his novel "Red Blood
Rivers" or "Crimsom Rivers" (Les rivieres pourpres).So anything with the
Grange name on it sells good since then.He did the screenplay on the
"Vidocq" movie too.
Another writer who can intermix very well strong historical references
with esoteric/mystical layers is the spaniard Arturo Perez-Reverte.
Yanks maybe know the movie done from his writings, in 1999, by director
Roman Polanski, with Johnny Depp "The Ninth Gate".

it's not Citizen Kane, but it's very interesting, tries hard to give a
glimpse of the bukowskovian cynical humanism.Main characters are nuts
like in the novels, Dunaway and Rourke are good.
