$5k? They really are joking, right? Unless the stadium holds 20 people, you
can't do the wiring for less than 5k.....sheesh.

I could do the PA for less than $500, much less $5000.

Slave labor is not an accepted practice in this market. But just
out of curiosity, how would you do that?

All you need is a microphone, and a couple od loudspeakers wired up.
I didn't say this would be top of the line. Fact is, if you want to be real
cheap, buy a couple of bullhorns.

Apparently the school in question wants to replace the football pep band with
CD-based music. Assholes...

(I'm not actually involved, aside from the online discussion forum where
somebody asked if they should take on this project)

Put it this way: Did the school provide minimum specifications to
accompany that budget?

Please, I already said I'm involved in this project.

I expunged a response where I mistyped (left out the "not"). Basically some
other guy asked about this on a sound-reinforcement website and the above
quote was one of the responses. Basically $5000 is not going to get the
school much at all.

RE#29 Bru, I'll leave protecting the border to you if you leave the design
of sound systems to professionals.

I once met a whore who wasn't a white English speaker let alone a Native, but
really talking isn't part of the business.
