A Sabbath elevator?  I think not being able to push buttins on the sabbath
is taking it a bit far....

It's not the button-pushing; it's using electricity.  Some don't answer the
telephone, much less call out.

Exactly.  If you're going to ride the elevator on the Sabbath, pushing the
buttons to get where youneed to go is no different.  Seriously, I'd tell them
to take the stairs and forget about this Sabbath elevator, but I'm not their
Rabbi....well, I'm not Jewish either...;-)

It's like the Amish/Menonite (I forget which one) folks who can't drive a car,
but it's perfectly okay to ride in one as long as a heathen drives it. ;-)
