Of course it's tempting to rely upon the old "Their lips are moving"
punchline, but I know enough honest Republican's not to say that. However,
when it comes to Bushies (as opposed to honest, independent GOP thinkers) the
old line often seems applicable.

Re resp:17: Yes, I read that.  But you obviously didn't read what *I*
wrote, because it doesn't answer my question, really. Just because a
Republican government is in power doesn't mean the country, as a whole,
is moving in a direction you like.  A lot of Republicans are frustrated
with the government's fiscal situation, for example, and a lot of
Democrats were frustrated with Clinton's trade deals.  I think that
breaking things down by political philosophy instead of party affilition
might yield interesting results.
