I think the trend is to trust strangers or else to see that someone is willing
to do work on hardware.

Actually, I'd bet the opposite. Does anyone have a rough count of who's
normally in party that is also a member and what % that might be in terms of
logins, as opponsed to lines of typing?

There was this kid's TV program 40 years ago called "Land of Play". The
hostess would look into a mirror or something and say "I see Billy, I see
Kristin". That's what those "I see xxx" comments made me think of... :-)
