I didn't say it did. But supporting Hamas out of a misguided sense that "if
we do that, it makes our support of the Saudis somehow less relevant/shocking"
isn't right either. Hamas are a bunch of bloodthirsty savages, and engage in,
or manipulate, just as much religious fanaticism as al-Qaeda.

We import half our stuff from China.
The rest, we import from South America, which isn't happy with the USA.
We're mucking up the Middle East claiming its to spread Democracy. Yet, Rummy
just admitted we've been paying off the newspapers to print sunshine and
happiness stories under our installed REGIME.
I dunno...the hammer is going to fall one of these days and these countries
are just going to pull the plug on us. There's absolutely no reason why they
shouldn't just be changing customers from USA to China and let us rot.

Re resp:127: Actually, the hypocrisy has nothing to do with the Saudis.
It's that we've once again demonstrated that we're only in favor of
democracy as long as people vote the way we want them to vote.
