I am a fan of Led Zeppelin, Jethrotull, Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Doors, Black
Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow and Pink Floyd though I have not extensively
listened to Floyd. I listen to Jethrotull (Have most of his albums except 2)
and Led zeppelin. Scorpions are my favourite too. Led Zep - well, really
captivated me with Led Zep 4 and Led Zep 3. I like tull's flute very much.
Esp. Bouree which is very heavenly. Do post some interesting news if anybody
may come across...

Assuming that our two Indian-named readers above are from India, I'd
like to ask how they got exposed to so much American and British
rock music. Are these bands a cult, minority taste over there, or
are they played on the radio a lot?
Jethro Tull: ah, that brings back memories. I was a big Tull fan
between 1971 and 1976. Leader Ian Anderson has a new solo CD out,
"Twelve Divinities," and I don't know any more about it than the
title. (I am surprised to realize it has been 20 years since I
bought a Jethro Tull album!)

RE #4 krj, do you remember Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" LP, where all the
lettering except the record company logo was in Old English style.

Yup. I have most of the Tull albums up to 1977 in their original
format; the best one, of course, is "Thick As A Brick" with the
newspaper inside.

Tull Is great, I remember they had come to B'bay about 3 yrs ago...It
was the end of the month adn as a Hostel student fincances where in Dire
Straits (great Band) I stayed on one meal a day for almost a week to be
able to see these guys and boy wasn't it amazing....seeing Ian Anderson
play the flute on one leg at a distance of no more than 10 feet . Boy i
still get goose bumbs when i think of it.

i'm another jethro tull fan, but it's been quite a while since i've
actually bought any of their recordings. i have everything from "this
was" through "crest of a knave" on vinyl...which also means it's been
quite a while since i've *heard* any of these recordings. :)

Just love Led Zeppelin and certainly Pink Floyd. Pink floyd's the Wall and
Dark Side of The moon and Relics are just brilliant The lyrics by Roger Waters
in The Wall is very good. Infact His solo album "Amused to death" has strains
of the Wall
