The First Ever Grex Fall Auction!
|
Oct 24 21:56 UTC 1997 |
We have decided to have another Grex Auction, starting on November 1st and
ending on November 30th. The summer auction was very successful, and we'd
like to do a whirlwind version of it, and hopefully take care of some
present needs.
So, who'd like to donate items to the auction? This past summer we had a
handmade didjeridu, a crocheted table runner, homemade jewelry, Grex
t-shirts, children's books, lots of baked goods, some used computer games,
some used board games, a home cooked dinner for two, a silly hat, a pair
of porcelain drunkmen (don't ask), a set of canning jars, a plant,
custom-made t-shirts, an astrological report, 3 boxes of unpunched
computer cards, and more.
Anything you can think of that you can provide and you think someone else
might want to buy is welcome. Actually, it doesn't even have to be
something someone would actually *want* - it can be something someone is
willing to buy and give to someone else!
Do you have any ols appliances you want to get rid of? Try the Grex
auction!
Do you have a summer home which you wouldn't mind being occupied by a
grexer or two for a weekend? Offer it here! Do you have a boat you could
give someone a ride on come spring? That might make someone's day.

I'd say seperately or in catagories. (Math software, compilers, word
processors, etc)

I have 3 loaves of bread, custom made, guaranteed fresh and yummy, and
if in time, still warm. Min bid: $5 each.
I'd be willing to bid up to $5 for a used copy of Win 3.11, But it must
be legal and have a transferable license. I don't do pirate software.

It seems like this item was linked from Fall Agora twice.
After this response, I am forgetting Coop Item #48.

Well, I just taped the GREX show off of CTN. The half-hour
show mentioned in the other item. Standard tape, HiFi VCR for
clearer sound, if you have one. I would make it an auction item.
Minimum bid would have to be $5, if delivered/picked up locally--
$8 if to be mailed elsewhere in United States. Elsewhere, I would
leave it to the treasure to take the time to find the cost and
charge the additional to get it there. Also scheduled to be
shown this Wednesday at 10am (on Cable 9).

I had once made mention of wanting to donate my Complete Psionics Handbook
from AD&D, but considering what I've read in my newer AD&D books, it's not
nearly as useless as I thought it was . . . just altered. I suppose I might
be able to scrounge something else up to donate . . .

I also have a set of four (4) "Auto Classics" prints by Stan Cline.
These prints show a typical gas station scene from the 1920's, the
1930's, the 1940's, and the 1950's, as well as automobiles of the decade
in question.
Minimum bid $1 per print (can split up set)

Re #21: That sounds great, Patrick - could you elaborate on the items? And
you might want to set a minimum bid on that.
I hope to get the new auction conference up and running tonight.
