Yup, in order to escape the threat of sabre, we are taking drastic
action. But we aren't actually shutting Grex down. Were just merging
it into Arbornet. Goto 'arbornet.org' and join the 'grex' conference to
see the new Grex.

Poor old m-net looks pretty moribund with its lack of funds and its
incompetent management/tech support, but Grex seems healthy enough. ;-)

I don't think #7 is true. Heck, the 'grex' conference on M-Net is much older
than the 'mnut' conference on Grex. I haven't looked at either in ages, but
I'll bet the 'grex' conference has more in it.

i haven't been on MNet in a long time, but usually the situtation was that
the MNetters would talk/joke/bitch about Grexers, and Grexers would
talk/joke/bitch about Grexers.

Re #10: In my experience, M-Netters talk/joke/bitch about Grexers, and
Grexers talk/joke/bitch about M-Net. Targetting individual people
as opposed to making broad comments about the system.

And bear in mind too that there are a lot of people who are both
Mnetters *and* Grexers. I like to call them Mexers

RE 7 "ive noticed grexers spend a lot more time insulting mnet than
mnetters spend insulting grexers."
Haha. In my experience, the mnetters tended to bitch about grexers
more than the grexers bitch about the mnetters. The mnetters will take
any oppurtunity to put grex down, but the grexers tend to ignore
everything that is mnet. You may see references against mnet in party,
but it's pretty rare to see it in agora.
And btw "mnut" on grex was actually the brainchild of a "mexer", who,
in my opinion is slightly more mnetter than grexer. If I remember
correctly, he was the founder of agora on mnet too.

mynxcat is right, mnet is mostly ignored here, but hatred for Grex
consumeth souls on mnet. It's been that way for years. I think they
stereotype Grexers as a bunch of humorlessly pontificating Volvo
liberals and hippie-wannabes. I wonder why? ;-)
mynxcat is also right about the origins of the Agora cf on mnet and the
M-Nut cf on Grex. Agora came first. M-Nut was an afterthought and has
never been very successful.

Which proves our point, doesn't it? Mnet can't seem to get enough of grex,
and the grexers ignore mnet so much, that mnut on grex is by and large
ignored. I think the only people who participate in mnut are those "mexers".
FWIW, I personally think both cfs were a great idea, and enjoy them immensely,
when i get a chance to read them.
