Walkman: is the U.S.A refered to in the masculine as a rule?
Just that we seem to refer to the UK / England /Britain, in the feminine.

We Americans usually use neuter "it". Plural "they" is a bit archaic but not
unheard.

#6 I was paraphrasing #0. As Tod said, the country itself is refereed to
as an "it" though sea-faring vessels and military sea/aircraft are often
referred to as "her/she".

I thought GREX was in the US? Geez, I've never heard so much trash talk
of my  country. Where is GREX located anyway? Someplace in Asia?
