You've got to see the world as darkness through the glare of headlights,
You see yourself inside the deer, you tense you spring away,
You see the sky, but you're a stranger in the dark night.
        Asphalt dragon,
        Light my way;
        Pavement creature,
        Feel my pain;
        Midnight spirit,
        Hear my cry.

You see it's glowing eyes as stoplights blinking fearfully,
It's horns are signposts, and it's wings the fields on either side,
You feel it longing for the atmospere of dark night.
