You've asked me to write for you,
Try as I might, I cannot - without first reflecting....
And as I do, I am overcome,
By a sense of gratitude, joy, happiness....
Maybe I've experienced these emotions a million times before,
But each time was different with you.
We've shared light moments ; bitter memories too,
strong gales rocked our sojourn
But no turbulence showed
For a level head and reasoning prevailed
Now that we part, I take leave, unwillingly,
Taking nothing but a treasurehouse of priceless entities....
Each a Volume, An Era, An Epoch,
Time - the great healer.....
Your memory may fade, but will never disappear,
And when someday, I rendezvous with someone of your traits,
Feelings will wash over,
Sublime, Subtle like silk on satin,
reaching out to me from depths of entity.
