Welcome to the Travel Conference! This conference can be used for a variety
of things including [but not necessarily limited to] places you've enjoyed

Yea, but what's the point in beds with massagers that take a quarte for five
minutes worth of massaging?

Sounds like a scam to me, Bjorn. Save your quarters for video games.

That's could be considered even more of a waste, for the person who isn't
familiar with a certain video game.

This conference neds some new entries. Doesn't anyone travel or want to talk
about travel? Maybe as we get closer to summer wanderlust will surface.

I would really love to travel. Maybe when I stop paying for college...
In the meantime, i will be traveling to Boston for the graduation of
My older son, Jonathon, from MIT. Boston is a lot of fun, and I haven't
been there in several years. I can already taste Durgin Park's cornbread.

This June I've got to drive out to extreme NE Penna. (the Poconos). Any
suggestions on places to stay, etc.?

I just had a close encounter of the strange kind with the people who
run Colorado's tourist board. It seems that the policy now is to no longer
include a highway map of CO in the travel package. In fact, the woman
on the other end of the phone got quit4e indignent when I pressed for
an address to write to so I could get a copy of thier map. She suggested
that I go to AAA or a Travel agent if I wanted a map.
I wrote a letter to the chairman of the tourist board, and hopefully
I can get thier map.
The upshot of the whole thing is, I now just have to wait for the
mail to catch up with me, and my "Atlas" will again be complete.

The poconos are supposed to be very nice, but I've got no answer for you.

re 7: try the Gov's office if you don't get what you want. If that fails,
have Engler's office call for you. :-)

Well, I've got an opporrtunity to go to Arizona. Unfortunately in August.
Keeping in mind that I cant stand excessive heat (I tend to wilt) does anyone
know how bad it would be to spend a few days in Tuscon and then go on to
Phoenix for a conference.

If you're traveling in the Poconos check out the whitewater rafting in Jim
Thorpe, PA. Its a rated river and a hell of a lot of fun. The Poconos are alos
noted for motels that have heart shaped tubs in the room.

The whitewater rafting sounds great. I cant imagine why heart shaped tubs
would be a "draw". Now two person hottubs. . .that's something else.

How do I get the raft into the motel tub?

response 15 of 65: Mark Unseen   May 18 18:05 UTC 1994

The tub *is* the raft.

And when you press the on button for the jets. . voila! Whitewater. But,
hopefully without Bill and Hillary to get you into trouble.
