analogies

this is for all you geeks out there:
ever notice that gaming is like sex?
whilst attending this years dragon con i was party to a panal about 
gaming for adults
and what was talked about was how most people just can't trust in the gm,
that it's not adversarial, and that most problems occur when people are 
desperate for someone to play with.
furthermore that alot of problems spring up when people fail to communicate
and do not describe to each other what the expectations are.
now damnit all if this doesn't sound like the same damn problems married
people have.
so i gots to thinking, what else does this apply to or sound like, and hey,
are there anything you've found to sucessuflly make things better/esier
happier?
