I think it would depend upon the strictness of the vegetarian. A vegan
wouldn't want to eat it, but others, such as lacto-, ovo-, and/or pisco-(?)
vegetarians may still not be bothered by the animal content. However,
assuming I'm a vegan, I offer it to my 20th century music teacher (he
gives away extra credit if ya' give him somthing to snack on.)

What would be the obscure ingredient? I'm not a vegetarian, but I respect
people who stick to their beliefs. I wouldn't eat it. I'd trash it, so
others would not be encouraged to consume animal products.

I had a vegetarian employee who was mean to her staff, but always into
animal rights. She loved caesar salads. I used to try to remind
here about those little anchovies (they were not born in the can!)
and about cheese (made with animal enzymes).
I delighted in that stuff!

Marshmellows are an animal ingredient!
