It would depend on the story. If it were a good story that I enjoyed
hearing, I would probably listen to it again. If it were a story that I
thought I had heard enough, I would probably say something like that I had
already heard it.

I'd say "Oh yeah", and then the punch line, so you know I remember it and
don't think I want you to stop talking, or anything like that.

I might do #4 unless their were people there who hadn't heard the story,
in which case I'd be more polite.

It depends on who you are. If you're my mother-in-law, I shut up
and listen. If you're my husband, I say, "Yes, dear, you told me
that before," and give the punch line. If you're something in
between, and I'm interested in serious conversation, I say, "I think
I've heard that one" and give the punch line. If you're just making
conversation while we do something, I may just tune you out for a while.
