The lawn
|
Aug 22 05:34 UTC 1994 |
(your neighbor's lawn hasn't been mowed in months! it's beginning
to look rather unsightly, much like a nature preserve in the middle
of a parking lot.)
(do you offer to cut it?)

At my age I'd maybe ask if they'd pay me.

What sort of neighbor? If it were a neighbor who I knew pretty well, I
might. OTOH, there's this coop near my house where the lawn almost never
gets cut. Nobody complains, however, because they never make any noise,
unlike the fraternities (and yes, I probably would offer to turn down the
sterios for the frat people, if I though they'd let me).

I'm out of practice at cutting grass anyway. If I had a chance
to speak to the neighbor, I might ask permission to pull out any
ragweed in there.
