Okay, say you know a friend, who has had unsafe sex with a person, that you
think, has HIV, but you are unsure as to when they contracted the disease,
if at all, what would you do then? You do know for sure that the person in
question sleeps around alot, but that is all... what would you do then?

And then what? Is that all? After all you're not sure if the person, not
your friend, even has hiv. You just say, get tested, and that is the end of
it?

I'm confused by the example.... you don't give enough information to give
any more advise than that. You say someone mihgt have HIV. You don't
state their relationship (other than friend), you don't state your
reason for concern (concern that acquainatnce has gotten HIV, concern
that acquaintance will repeat behavior, sexual interest in acquaintance).
You've said someone you know MIGHT have HIV. It's difficult to offer any
advice other than, get tested and find out.

Okay, you need more info... so here you go... Your friend "Chris" have been
in a realationship with, a person, "Pat", who may or may not have hiv. What
would you tell your friend Chris, whom you've known for a long time, besides
get tested to find out...

I agree with Kattie...did you know that you can be sued for implying that
someone has Aids....now days you must be very csarefull what you say and
do....sory about the extra t in katie...if you don`t know for sure then it
would be wise to not say anything....

Emmit, I'm sorry, but other than adding names, you have
done nothing to add information, so my advice still stands.

I would give them a subscription to Morbidity & Mortality Report published
by the Federal Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia
