ConFusion 1998 Mark Unseen   Jan 19 19:13 UTC 1998

This is the annual item to discuss ConFusion, which is
Southeast Michigan's winter science fiction convention.
The con is coming up this weekend.

If anyone is inclined to put the entire convention
program into a response, please use a separate item.
Thanks!

Putting it off until the last minute, eh? >8)

The full program for any SF convention generally isn't published until
the con starts, so unless one of the staff members just happens
to be in this conference (possible) and has the free time this
close to the convention (unlikely), it won't be available here
until after it ends.

Elevator sign: "If there are more than **6** people in this elevator,
we hope you enjoy spending time together!"

Suposedly, the elevator mechanical system was replaced in the past
year. If so, we managed to break it and wound it.
I got to the panel featuring Safty Girl, an Ann Arbor cable TV
personality.
I got to many other panels, and came in 2nd place in the Babylon 5
trivia contest.
Also pleased to see and hear a lot of filkers.

I'd love to hear some of those B5 questions!

Went to two panels that Connie Willis was on, and felt very inspired.
She is one plain-spoken lady! Had much fun, and even met people that
I hadn't seen in ages. Loved MEW's concert.

spent a fair bit of time being door nazi (and doing a few other
jobs) in the art show. i was also seen *running* on two separate
occasions, and spent a fair bit of time looking for people who wanted
to play mancala. went to the s.o.c. meeting and room party as well.
all in all, i had a pretty good con, even if the hotel wanted to screw
up my room reservation because i had the temerity *not* to use a credit
card.
