It's just a science fiction show, don't get overwrought..
Besides, it's the one night of the year when it's not
considered socially unforgivable to dress up as an alien.. :-p

good point-- why merely watch the characters when you have a decent excuse
to roleplay one of them for the evening. Anyway, do you have any idea what
episode is on next?

No, I'm not a "Farscape" watcher. (I don't even know when it's on or
  what channel shows it..)

It's on the scifi network at 8:00 eastern and pacific time on mondays through
fridays. It has some really well developed characters, great special effects,
and an intricate plotline. You may want to take a look at it.

Correction to #5: Reruns are Monday through *Thursday* at 8. Current episodes
are Friday at *9* unless it's been preempted by something else as usual. :(

From http://sftv.org/sftv/sftvschd.txt

<<SciFi has announced that the final four episodes of season three of
Farscape will not air until March or April, instead of January.>>

Yes, but M-Th are running through the full run (starting from season 1), while
Friday is a separate random selection of reruns (I think mostly from current
season) when (as currently) they are not showing new episodes (or preempting
it).

Hmmm...what is it with TV shows having absurdly short seasons and
then making fans wait almost a year for new episodes? All the shows
I was addicted to (including "Farscape") have been doing this lately.
And how the hell can the Sci-Fi Channel get away with calling them the
final four episodes of the season when the "Farscape" season has been
stopped for weeks, as far as i can tell?

Seasons used to be twenty-six weeks, with the occasional fill-in to pad
it out from September to May. Now they run thirteen week half-seasons,
followed by fillers until they are ready to run the next half-season.

Full run syndication shows are usually 26 weeks, allows for
one set of repeats. However, threepeats seen to show up in second
and third seasons when shows are saved for sweeps moths.
The usual network run is 22 weeks. It allows for one set
of repeats and eight pre-emptions. Three-peats seem to get in
anyway.
Cable series usually have only 18 weeks worth of shows.
The repeats and three-peats are well planned. However, it now
seems to be in fashion to have a 12 week run and a six week
run, two half-seasons. Cable tends to run new shows in months
that are not sweeps months on over-air networks. Build audience
when the other guys are boring.
