William Shatner: inflated ego, or just misunderstood?

Is it me, or is William Shatner getting a bit ridiculous with his Star Trek
novels? I can understand the desire to bring Capt. Kirk back in order to have
him die a death that's a little more heroic, but come on!! So far we learn
that Kirk and Spock are brothers, Kirk is the only one responsible for saving
the galaxy, and now if I understand it right, in the latest novel, Preserver,
Kirk is God! Is it me, or does anyone else see this?

I've never read any Star Trek novels but that sounds ridiculous enough
for me to want to pick up a couple of the ones you mention, just for the
amusement value of watching an author spin out of control. Who's writing
them for him, anyway?

So how do Kirk and Spock get to be brothers? Was Amanda Greyson (Spock's
mother) married to a Kirk before she married Sarek> Or what> (No, wait, Spock
is older than Kirk. Hmmmm.)

He just thinks he has more talent than he really has. He is not a bad actor,
but his creative imagination is a bit feeble. I read one of his Tek War books
. . . Tek Power, I think . . . it wasn't bad, but was nothing to write home
about. As for Spock and Kirk, being brothers . . . give me a break!
