a bit expensive now so I don't know about getting it. what did you guys
think?

Right now I'm too busy cheating with other games (reading hint book sections
and putting the book back, then leaving the store). Personally, I just don't
go for Mario.

Well, I confess I liked it. It's definitely not for RPG purists. It
doesn't take itself too seriously. (I thought the parody of the Power
Rangers was pretty funny). It's got some platform-style game elements
in it -- not pure RPG at all. But I liked it. Never played a Square
game I didn't like.

Jon, stop blowing your own horn. You go to bookstores less frequently then I
do, much less every day.

I watched plork play for a little, and watched him fight that FF2 sort-of guy.
Anybody know who he/she's supposed to be? Or is it just a generic FF2
crystal/weird/elemental boss?

of this morning or this afternoon.

I don't know. I haven't actaully played it, but I've seen a lot of screen
shots and some stuff from Nintendo's website. The graphics aren't bad, but
if you're looking for a true RPG, you'd probably be better off with another
game. Plus, it's $79 price tag does make it a little hard to get a hold of.
I'd suggest renting it first.

God. I don't see how they can get away with such prices. Those people skipped
capitolism and went straight to highway robbery. Most computer games don't
cost that much...

Yeah, they overcharge a lot, and apparently there are people who'll pay.
I could afford to pay $79 per game, but I won't as a matter of principal.
The markup on these games must be tremendous, because lots of places
frequently sell at a discount and must still be turning a profit. As
for SMRPG, I bought it at Target for $53.

well, I'm GLAD I don't own an SNES. It's pointless and time consuming. (like
computers aren't, but who's going to argue that point?)
