What our Blessed Mother would like you to do: Mark Unseen   Mar 12 21:55 UTC 1999

1. Pray 3 hours a day, (including the 15 decade Rosary).
2. Fast every Wednesday (for the Holy Spirit to rain down his graces on
the world), and Friday (for peace in the world), on bread and water.
3. Go to confession at least once a month.
4. Consecrate yourself to the sorrowful, immaculate heart of Mary by
doing the following every first Saturday of the month for 5 months in a
row:
* Go to confession.
* Receive Holy Communion.
* Pray the 15 decade Rosary.
* Meditate on our Blessed Mother for 15 minutes.
She promises if these things are done with devotion and fervor, she will
bestow enough graces so that you will not suffer eternal fire.

Meanwhile, Loki & Coyote promise that they'll cook the books so that
anyone doing the things in #0 to avoid damnation will be get eternal
fire anyway.

"On the authority of my [insert supernatural being here], I tell you to
do X or else!" is really old. Look at history - the <cough, hack> true
believers never sit back and let their [supernatural being] enforce it,
anyway - they do it themselves with their own mere mortal hate-filled
human hands.

In fact, this kind of stuff was done so well by many 20th century nations
which officially ignored or denied theology, that it's obvious that the
whole religious angle just inefficiency anyway - the Agnostic & Atheist
Secret Police easily tortured/killed/etc. vastly more people while the
Rightous Hatred Association was wasting time with rituals, show trials,
revivals, etc.
