Whats on your belt. Tell us about your radios.

What radio(s) do you carry around? In the past 12 years of being a ham,
I've pretty much stayed with ICOM radios, but I have had, for a brief time
Kenwoods and Yaesus.
My current posse is:
IC-2GAT (7 w 2m handheld)
IC-W32A (5w 2M/440 handheld)
IC-Q7A (300mw dual band transciever)
IC-2100H (50w 2m mobile)
IC-R3 (.5 Mhz to 2.4Ghz receiver)
I really like the Q7a for it's size and frequency coverage. I was
disappointed in the R-3's lack of 800Mhz band coverage.

Wow...you carry a IC-2100H on your belt? impressive!
On the rare occasion I do carry my radio(s) with me, its
usually my Radio Shack HTX-202 (2-mtr). Sometimes i'll
also carry my Alinco DJ-X10T ( 100Khz - 2Ghz reciever).

I don't usually carry a radio. I just haven't found it that useful. Most of
my chatting on 2m happens when I'm driving.
I *own* the following radios:
Kenwood TH-22AT 2m FM handheld (when I do carry one, it's this one)
Realistic HTX-404 70cm FM handheld
Icom IC-207H 2m/70m FM mobile (in the Honda)
Ranger RCI-2950 10m all-mode mobile (soon to be in the Volkswagen)

I too have the t81a. An amazing little radio. I have the icom 0
series for 2, 220, 440 and 1200, but the little teeny tiny t81a is
all but 220, so it lives in my backpack along with the laptop.

When I go to model/high-power rocket launches I usually take my Yupiteru
MVT-7100 for RDF work. Sometimes I take my VX-5R which can also be used as
a receiver for my beacon, in addition to normal ham usage. Around the house
& yard I might have either the MVT-7100 or the MVT-9000.
When mobile, I have a Yaesu FT-1500M which is primarily used for APRS.

I've got mostly hand-helds, for two-ways. I do have a base station
CB, and a base model scanner, as well as two mobile scanners.
Ham gear:
Korean copy of the IC-2E, from Onwa.
Used IC-2AT, with keypad.
Kenwood TH-78
Kenwood TM-742AD (In main vehicle)
Radio Shack HTX-420 (newer dual band handheld)
KPC-3, that hasn't been used in quite awhile now.

Currently I have a Radio Shack HTX-200. I miss 70cm, so I
have been 'window shopping' of late. It looks as though US$
200 buys me a decent 2m mobile, a decent 2m/70cm dual-band
HT or a mediocre 70cm mobile. Over the last few days I've
been leaning towards the Icom IC-T7H dual-band HT, but I'm
not sure whether it's hamlib-compatible.

Are you looking for new or used equipment? I'm guessing you can
get a a decent used dual-band for around $200.
