"Reawakening" J. Parish 10MAR99
I walk to her
Full of hope
And something else
Her bronzed alabaster skin
Taunts and teases with perfection
I know not the form of breath
And click of tongue
To speak the words
Which weigh my heart
I kneel before her
Not pleading or praying
Only acknowledging
And desire that it be enough
Her saphire and emerald gaze
Draws the words from my lips
Entices hidden knowledge
And frees my mind to speak its peace
"I come with love,
Not fear or awe,
Bearing no ill intent.
I come to rejoice,
I stray no longer,
As I have beheld your face"
She slowly smiles and draws me forth
With single thought and single breath
Comes her only reply
"The time has come,
Forgetting was easy,
Though you've had your fill,
Now you learn again."

I'm not sure what to make of this. It sounds depressing and desperate,
but that might be just me.

I'm mildly disturbed by that Jon, I'm not quite sure how this could be
seen as depressing or desperate. Care to explain?

well, explain to me what your perfect woman there meant by 'now you
learn.' She seemed like some element of torture to me..

hmmm..O.K.
Maybe I see your point, however, this was deffinately not meant in that
sense.
what my "perfect woman" (your words, not mine) meant by "Now you learn
again" is more to the efect of "O.K. you've let yourself forget all the
silly bullshit, you've cleaned your slate, now lets fill it with
something usefull"
Forgetting was easy,
Though you've had your fill,
Now you learn again
mayhap you could suggest a way to clarify that?

"Reawakening" v2 04/01/99
I walk to her He stands beside her
Full of hope Filled with wisdom
And something else And all the worlds strength
Her bronzed alabaster skin His thickened chest
Taunts and teases with perfection Barely moves with incoming
air
I know not the form of breath I know not the form of breath
And click of tongue And click of tongue
To speak the words To speak the words
Which weigh my heart Which weigh my heart
I kneel before her I rise to his call
Not pleading or praying Thrusting arms behind me
Only acknowledging Seeking no offense
And desire that it be enough And pray that it be enough
Her saphire and emerald gaze His iron and granite voice
Draws the words from my lips Forces thoughts through lips
Entices hidden knowledge Bids that I but speak my mind
And frees my mind to speak its peace And free it simply to breath
"I come with love, "I come with love,
Not fear or awe, Not fear or awe,
Bearing no ill intent. Bearing no ill intent.
I come to rejoice, I come to rejoice,
I stray no longer, I stray no longer,
As I have beheld your face" As I have beheld yourface"
She smiles and draws me forth He nods and draws me in
With single thought and single With single thoguth and
single breath
breath
Comes her only reply Comes his one reply
"The time has come, "The time has come,
Forgetting was easy, Forgetting was easy,
Though you've had your fill, Though you've had your fill
Now you learn again." Now you learn again."
I knew I had to do the second part when I wrote the first...I was just
too lazy.....
