Dolcissima Maria Mark Unseen   Mar 9 02:41 UTC 1999

based off the song of the same name by Premiata Forneria Marconi

Sleep soft, Maria,
there will be time tomorrow.

I watch her sleeping there,
her soft hair on her shoulder,
a smile on her little face,
like an imp
a fairy come to rest in my home.

The first time we danced,
I spun her around;
We clung close together,
the world was ours forever.

Look at her sleep,
Think about what luck.
This room is never dark
when she is in it.

Slowly, Maria,
she goes so fast,
but she'll stop
and look in my eyes.
We'll smile.

I can smell apples in her hair,
and see flowers in her footsteps.
Summer is never far behind her.

Softly Maria,
There is no need to cry,
now that we're together,
well be forever.

You knew me
when you first saw me,
and I just stared,
as your smile captured
your face, and me.

I watch you Maria,
you'll be here tomorrow,
I'll be there,
with you, forever.

Well, I was listening to it, and I wrote off the music-- I couldn't understand
the words, which were in Italian, so I just wrote what I felt like they were
saying.

Oh, good.
I just wanted to make sure the lines I was complimenting you for weren't a
quote from someone else's lyrics :)

Lovely, simply lovely, and I would love to hear the music-- what an
incredible source for inspiration.

Amen to that. The wonderful thing about it is, if you send Jon the
music, I get to listen to it, too.
