a poem to you myself Mark Unseen   Jan 23 00:11 UTC 1999

I dreamt of you last night.
sight
and touch
and breath
and sound.
I dreamt of a room last night.
You
 and I
and tables
and people.
I dreamt I leaned in close to
you
your nose
your cheek
your lips.
I dreamt that just before I kissed
you
you said
that is
as far as this is going to go.
Then I left
the room
the tables
the poeple
behind me but I kept
you
your sight
your touch
your breath
and though your words stung I kept
their sound.

This is another poem that would lend itself well to song-- something like
early Suzanne Vega comes to mind. Beautiful and elegant.
