Burnt Not by love of life Or loss of life But by life itself Burnt The hand reaches out Stretches,flexes,grasps And finally grabs the flame And is immediately punished For this audacity Burnt Not by the love of flame Or the loss of light But by the flame itself Burnt And taught to fear the flame

very apt. especially in my current situation. i really like the rhythm and the repetition.
