thriving on pain Mark Unseen   Feb 8 15:51 UTC 1999

the cold matalic taste of what was...
bitter endings lingering on the edge of my mind.
to put away the past,
is to put away the beautiful pain i have grown so accustom to.
i stand in fear;
fear of becomming one of the soul-less beings that surround me.
perhaps the inner trauma keeps me real...
perhaps its the way its all supose to be.
lead me through the shadow of death,
so that i may see the moon rise one last time--
its silvery waters will wash it all away,
so i may forget for a moment...
and in that moment--
this small blue planet of crime ceases to turn.
i am all--
i am eternity...
pure serinity pouring from the sky.
i stand on my own two feet,
i fly on my own two wings..
reality has engulped me,
though i awaken to the every-day screeches of my alarm clock,
grasping the pain as i move on through my life--
loosing my night of tranquil being..
now all i have left is my guilt.

I like it. As I said previously, if some people don't like your poetry
(pedestrians) that's no reason for you to deprive the rest of us
artists, who like your work by the way, of reading your new stuff.
Pray, Post again and fear not.

Very existentialist-- I take it you see your pain as an essential part
of you? I can understand that.

Again, the Imagists would be very pleased with you-- your expressions
are crystal clear and straightforward.

Please do post again.

i'm sure you have joe... some of my stuff gets kind of repetitious..
after all, you've read/heard everything i've written in the past three
years and i'm sure that it has gotten fairly monotomous..
