ya Rabee (Oh, My God, or My Lord) Mark Unseen   Nov 9 21:12 UTC 2000

ya Rabee,
I give thanks to Thee,
for this gentle smell of rain,
on the ends of my fingertips.
Oh, to glance upwards,
such beauty in the bow of the tree,
as she sways back and forth,
whispers of love and youth,
hidden in her branches.
ya Rabee,
the beauty of my mother's voice,
and the strength in her eyes,
truly it is but from You,
and in this I find serenity.
for what she knows not,
with Your willingness,
I can teach her.
ya Rabee,
I turn to you in these moments,
of quiet and softness,
where I can feel the fragility,
of my own heart in Your hands.
I give thanks to Thee,
for all the beauty in my eyes,
and the lushness of the earth.
ya Rabee,
only you know what hides,
deep within my soul,
and I trust in You,,
and how fine a trustee You are!
With patience the colors
become only more beautiful,
and this smile on my lips,
becomes long lasting.

I really love this emerging new style I see. There is a definite rhythm
here.

min ayy balad anti, yaa ukhtii?

i think this begins better than it ends - the visual imagery works for
me, maybe because it's more specific.
